Child & Adolescent Assessments
Helping you understand your child a little better
Sometimes you know something isn’t quite right, but you’re not sure why. Maybe your child is struggling to concentrate at school, falling behind in certain areas, finding social situations difficult, or simply seems to learn and respond differently to other children.
Our new assessment services are designed to help families get a clearer understanding of how their child thinks, learns and experiences the world.
Our Assessments Include
ADHD Assessments
Looking at attention, impulsivity, executive functioning and behaviour to understand whether ADHD may be contributing to the challenges your child is experiencing.
Cognitive Assessments
Looking at how your child thinks, reasons, remembers and processes information, including their individual strengths and areas that may need support.
Academic Assessments
Looking at key academic skills such as reading, writing, spelling and maths to identify areas where your child may be doing well and areas they may need extra help.
Autism Assessments
A detailed assessment looking at social communication, interaction and behaviours associated with autism.
More than just a test
We don't believe an assessment should be about simply putting a label on a child. The goal is to understand what is going on and why, so parents and schools have a clearer picture of what your child needs and how best to support them.
Our assessment team works alongside our existing Paediatrics, Psychiatry, Clinical Psychology and Counselling services, allowing us to provide support across different areas when needed.
Taking the next step
Every child is different, and sometimes having better understanding of how they learn, think and experience the world can make real difference. Our team is here to help families make sense of their concerns and work out what support may be helpful moving forward. If you think an assessment may be right for your child, get in touch with Metanoia Health. We’re happy to talk you through the options and help you find the right place to start.
